The Clinical Sales Specialist provides Clinical and product expertise to our sales team, distribution partners and key stakeholder during the sales process. He/She contributes by….
demonstrating the clinical benefits of the Leica surgical portfolio.
by contributing to the development of training materials & content (slide deck, videos) .
planning and hosting products trainings and workshops .
supporting our sales team in technical requirements related to product applications.
The Clinical Sales Specialist has an in-depth understanding of established clinical practices in neurosurgery, real-world treatments, and the competitive landscape.
The Clinical Sales specialist supports daily inquiries from end-users on clinical and training-related topics. He/She develops an expert knowledge of Leica’s portfolio, collects and feeds back the Voice Of Customers, and actively maintains knowledge on neurosurgery clinical applications, products and competitors to act as a Subject Matter Expert.
This is a key role for the organization to accelerate growth of Leica’s advanced portfolio of microscopes and software.
Customer focus
Effectively and strategically deliver best in class applications and support channel partners during project’s evaluation, demonstration of equipment and application training to ensure customer satisfaction.
Account Managers in customer management during pre-sales demonstrations, to find customer needs and present Leica solutions accordingly, with the most appropriate customization.
Take part in pre-sales activities in order to create new Sales Opportunities: Exhibitions, Symposiums, webinars, remote demonstrations, Pre-sales demonstration and Product/Solution presentation. Provide insights and market intelligence.
Advise channel partners on the best timing for demonstration in order to improve demo inventory effectiveness.
Strategic thinking
Provide advice during sales negotiations and Support Account Managers in building appropriate configurations and solutions that meet customer needs and Leica’s standards. Provide Application after sales support by analyzing customer requests and addressing them to the relative departments and stakeholders (Service, Sales, Customer Service or Business Unit) as per the processes. Proactively follow-up on the post sales requirements ensuring that customer experience meets or exceeds Leica’s standards.
Create product & application material to help the sales force to increase the confidence and knowledge on the products & application. Keep Account Managers up to date on Leica products, solutions, and applications by providing continuous training.
Support the ideations and development programs to support and create new ways to succeed in the market sustainable.
Support Launch phases of new products both in early phase (Beta Test) or along NPI (New Product Introduction) with EPS phase activities. Collect customer feedback on new product requirements and/or future applications and provide consolidated information to the Product Managers.
3 years’ minimum experience in a technical support role for a healthcare company, providing application support on high range of complex products and services, Neurosurgery /Ophthalmology experience is a plus.
Master/bachelor’s degree Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Clinical Engineering or (scrub)nurse
Strong understanding of clinical workflow, IT workflow including DICOM and HL7, anatomy and medical terminology
Comfortability and confidence in communicating to customers of various levels of technical and clinical knowledge
Strong customer focus and demonstrated capacity to detect customer needs and find out appropriate solutions.
High level of stress resistance, demonstrated problem solving skills to troubleshoot potential problems
Essential to this position will be the enthusiastic drive to win business in a highly competitive marketplace combined with detailed activity management through different type of analytical and reporting tools.
Passion for technology, innovation and high technical expertise on the products and applications.
Familiarity of how the philosophies and practices of multi-national, matrixed large companies (Danaher) interface and contribute to those of smaller semi-autonomous companies and willing to work hands-on;
High degree of adaptability to travel within region and work on flexible hours (40 hours weekly)
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and customer service skills.
Excellent attention to detail, proofreading, and organizational skills.
Ability to perform detailed work accurately.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
